Hippie Sabotage is an acclaimed indie EDM act comprising brothers Kevin and Jeff Saurer. The duo began experimenting with music at age 12. They dabbled in hip-hop and created beats for Oakland-based rapper Yukmouth and Chicago-based artists C Plus and Alex Wiley. In 2005, the Saurer brothers began working with electronic music and scored gigs in major festivals, such as Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, and Bonnaroo Music Festival.
In 2013, Hippie Sabotage released their debut EP, Vacants. The following year, they dropped their first breakthrough remix single, “Habits (Stay High)” by Tove Lo. Ellie Goulding posted the single, which quickly became viral, garnering over 1 billion views on Youtube. The song received wide acclaim and topped Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart. In 2016, the brothers released their third EP, Providence, followed by Options in the same year. Two years later, Hippie Sabotage embarked on a major Legends of the Fall tour. The tour helped catapult their stream statistics. That same year, Hippie Sabotage hit one billion streams on various platforms.
