Nothing But Thieves is an Essex-based rock band that emerged in 2012. The quintet debuted with their single, “Itch,” which was immediately picked up by local radio stations and became a favorite in Octane, a hard rock channel in Sirius XM. During their early years, the band supported My Chemical Romance, Awolnation, Arcade Fire, Muse, and Young Guns.
In 2015, the band released their self-titled debut album, which entered the U.K. chart’s top ten. The album, which made a breakthrough with the single “Trip Switch,” also performed excellently on the U.S. Billboard charts, peaking at number 11 and 15 on the Top Alternative Album and Top Rock charts. The album was later certified gold in the U.K. and Netherlands.
Two years later, Nothing But Thieves released their highest-performing effort on the U.K. chart, Broken Machine. The sophomore album fell one place short of number 1 but still impressively entered the charts in 15 countries. The 2017 album spawned hit singles “Amsterdam” and “Sorry,” both of which entered the U.K. rock charts.
Aside from full studio albums, the band dropped a couple of EP’s highly-acclaimed What Did You Think When You Made Me to This (2018) and Moral Panic II (2021), which served as a sequel to their 2020 album, Moral Panic.
This 2023, Nothing But Thieves is scheduled to release their upcoming album Dead Club City. The fourth studio effort will drop this summer. The lead single, “Welcome to the DCC,” already preceded the album’s release. Now, the band sets out on a worldwide outing to debut their new songs from the much-anticipated record.
