Known for his charisma, smooth vocals, and superior guitar-slinging abilities, Jake Owen is a household name among country music fans. He is one of those who continually molds himself to become better each day. Throughout his career, the Florida-born country star has evolved from his earlier bro-country tunes to incorporating sonic elements and production techniques that made him stand out in the sea of country singer-songwriters in the business.
Like other artists, Jake Owen started his career performing gigs in bars and other small venues. By co-writing a song for Kenny Chesney, he was noticed by executives and was immediately signed to a record label. In 2006, with the release of his debut album, "Startin' with Me," he made a name for himself in the competitive field of country music. The successful lead track, "Yea Haw," introduced Owen to the world. It is an upbeat party hymn that exudes a positive, "good time" atmosphere and reached No. 16 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Over the years, Owen cemented his name in the country music scene through a string of chart-topping hits, including "Don't Think I Can't Love You" and "Barefoot Blue Jean Night." The latter is the lead single from his third album, cleverly named "Third." The record peaked atop Billboard's Country Airplay chart and showed his dominance as he dialed up the energy, the melodies, and the rhythms. Changing his sound and approach led to three more consecutive No. 1 successes on Billboard's Country Airplay chart: "Alone with You," "The One That Got Away," and "Anywhere with You."
His subsequent singles "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)," "Homemade," and "Made for You" all charted on the Billboard country charts, and country radio continued to play his music more than any other genre. "Greetings from… Jake," his most recent studio album, was released in 2019, and it included the singles "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)" and "Down to the Honkytonk."
Don't miss your chance to see Jake Owen perform these hit songs live on October 24 at Los Angeles' The Wiltern. Expect to have a great time since Owen always puts on exciting and uplifting shows. Reserve your tickets by clicking the "Get Tickets" button.
