Yves Tumor is the solo moniker of Sean Bowie. Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, the enigmatic multi-instrumentalist experimented with music at a young age. From teaching himself bass guitar at the age of 17 and drawing inspiration from rock legends like Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin to exploring electronic music on the keyboard, Tumor has always pushed the boundaries of genre.
His music weaves together elements of rock, psychedelia, and electronica, constantly reinventing the landscape of pop music. His latest album, titled "Praise A Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds)," released by Warp Records in March of this year, is supporting his global tour. It’s often described as an “uncanny recalibration of pop music.”
