Hippo Campus & Mei Semones at The Wiltern

Picture this you're at the Wiltern Theater picking up some soft drinks, if you can call it that, then you find your way to your seat. Before you know it, Hippo Campus is out on stage, and they lead off with Buttercup. That could be one of those moments where you realize that life's good and you made the right choice of heading to the Wiltern on a Thursday night. There are certainly a few bands out there that delve into this style of squeaky vocals and lo-fi beats. What happens a lot of times, though, is that they're not able to produce a ton of tracks. Hippo Campus is unique in that sense.

Flood is their 4th full studio album as a band. They've done different EPs and live tapings in the process. The point of all this is that through the years, they've been consistently able to produce music that fans want to continue to listen to.
