Blast Off With Buckethead 2025

When Buckethead hits the stage - we all pause and immerse ourselves in the show. And The Wiltern is the perfect place to catch him live - not only because he has played here numerous times already before, and not because he is a Southern California native who gives spectacular hometown shows - but because The Wiltern is one of the premier venues in the city for live music, insanely memorable performances, and a chance to be with all your friends in the hear of L.A. County. And, well, because Buckethead’s 2025 Blast Off With Buckethead Tour is absolutely one of a kind - and the December 12th show here at The Wiltern will be the best one yet. Mr.Buckethead will also play 20 other shows throughout the tour that has been going on since back in April - including at Infinity Music Hall in Connecticut, Sony Hall in NYC, House Of Blues Houston, two nights at The Caverns in Tennessee, The Playhouse in Atlanta, and of course - right here at The Wiltern this December.

Buckethead is no stranger to musical stardom. And though his career spans four decades, he still miraculously finds a way to be aloof, and a longstanding enigma in the guitarist scene that is nothing quite like the A-list guitarist that preceded him. Born in Pomona California, he began playing guitar when he was twelve, immersed by the sounds of rock legends like Uli Jon Roth and Angus Young. After some practice, he began taking the hobby seriously just a year later, and came up with the Buckethead moniker while watching Halloween 4 back in the 80s. He bought a Michael Myers white mask like the one depicted in the movie, and the bucket idea came while he was, of course, one night eating KFC. In a thirty year old interview with Guitar Player Magazine, he mentions “I was eating it, and I put the mask on and then the bucket on my head. I went to the mirror. I just said, 'Buckethead. That's Buckethead right there.' It was just one of those things. After that, I wanted to be that thing all the time,”.  He has since released over 30 solo albums, and has countless appearances as lead guitarist for bands like Guns n’ Roses, Shin Terai, and Travis Dickerson.

When Buckethead takes the stage - we truly don’t know what to expect. We’re just humble viewers excited for what’s next and along for the ride above all. Grab your passes today, right now, and let’s enjoy the show! We’ll see you soon - right here at The WIltern!
