Fact: Goldfinger is the most legendary band that will be tearing up The Wiltern’s magnificent 55-foot stage this year, hitting audiences hard with songs off almost every album they’ve ever released!
Another fact: they’re sounding better than ever, sizzling with raging guitar riffs, incredible and iconic vocals, and pummeling drums. It is simply unbelievable how good Goldfinger is!
When Goldfinger broke into the music scene in 1996 with their eponymous debut album, the writing was on the wall: they were right at the center of the revitalizing of the popularity of ska, putting them on young America’s radar. They were named as one of the 10 bands that shaped 1996. However, it was their cover of Nena’s “99 Luftballons” that extended the radar’s reach to the rest of the world. Goldfinger also experimented with various genres - from dorm room ska to relaxing reggae, from jaunty pop punk to straight-up gritty punk, cementing them as one of the most important acts in the punk landscape.
It’s all raw passion, through-the-roof energy, precision, spirit, and excitement when it comes to Goldfinger. Whether it’s “Superman”, “Wallflower”, “Counting The Days”, or “Spokesman” - they are genre-defining, the sound of a generation, and they will be rocking the walls of the best venue in Los Angeles.
The iconic architectural masterpiece, The Wiltern, with its seating capacity of up to 4,000, boasts five levels, including a mezzanine and two rear bars to make sure the crowd remains hydrated while dancing hard and screaming out every word to their favorite Goldfinger songs.
Orange County Ska punk band Save Ferris will be playing alongside Goldfinger, raising the roof with their hit songs such as “Goodbye” and their cover of “Come On Eileen”.
Punk band Unwritten Law is best known for their smashing singles, “Seein’ Red” and “Save Me (Wake Up Call)”, peaking on the US Modern Rock charts. They have also toured extensively, both nationally and internationally.
American pop punk band Urethane’s music is rooted in catchy choruses and melodic hooks that will get the crowd psyched with bangers such as “Dog Years”, “Hold a Place in Time”, and “Inheritance”.
It is undeniable: Los Angeles is set for a straight-up rocking evening with some of the best bands around!
