All metal hell is about to rain down on The Wiltern this spring, as the titans of metal pull in as part of their North American Tour 2025. With up to 4,000 seats spread across a general admission pit and floor, loge, and a mezzanine, top-notch sound and lighting, and unobstructed views of the massive stage, heads are certain to be slamming and horns to be raised regardless of where you choose to be seated.
When it comes to Machine Head, notorious for being one of the hardest bands live, all we can say is that the train has left the station and is speeding up. They are powerful and commanding, tearing it up with pit smashers and roaring through bangers like ‘Slaughter The Martyr’ only to slip effortlessly into melodies such as ‘No Gods No Masters’ and the singalonger ‘From This Day’. One thing is certain – Machine Head is a metal apocalypse that slams down an insane wall of sound onto their rabid fan base, who gobbles it up to the very last crumb, leaving them to stumble into the night afterwards after an extremely satisfying experience – a mosh pit combat commanded by General Robb Flynn and his men.
If you are thinking that Swedish heavy metal band In Flames has quieted down since they first dropped their debut album, ‘Lunar Strain’, three decades ago, think again. They are energy TNT, exploding onto the stage with that melt-your-face-off kind of stuff, from ‘Cloud Connected’ and ‘Pinball Map’ to ‘Deliver Us’ and ‘Take This Life’. It’s a crazy vocal range that goes from clean and heartfelt to death defying screams and roars that will raise the roof in zero to two seconds, a plethora of riffs and killer guitar solos, an incredible and almost feral bass and untamed drumming that will drag you down to the seven circles. And the result: that post-show buzz that will have you reeling for weeks afterwards.
Machine Head and In Flames will be supported on tour by special guests Lacuna Coil, known for bangers such as ‘The House Of Shame’ and ‘Kill The Light’, and Unearth, notorious for mind-blowing smashers such as ‘Zombie Autopilot’ and ‘My Will Be Done’.
So now the important question is: have you gotten your tickets yet?
