The legendary pop-punk band New Found Glory just announced some very exciting news for all their fans! The band is headed on the 20th anniversary tour of their iconic album, “Catalyst,” and you’re not going to want to miss it. The tour will find the band going coast to coast, including a stop in Los Angeles, California. For fans in the area, keep reading below for all the details about the upcoming show.
New Found Glory will take over The Wiltern on Wednesday, the 16th of October, 2024. At this show, you get the opportunity to experience “Catalyst” in its entirety, reliving some of your favorite songs from the ‘00s. It feels like a full-circle nostalgic moment for all fans who have been around for 20 years as New Found Glory announces a tour celebrating their 2004 album. All the scene kids from the ‘00s who are reading this right now, we see you.
The band is headed on a two leg North American Tour that will see them playing the iconic record in full. So, hits like All Downhill From Here”, “Truth Of My Youth”, and “Failure’s Not Flattering” will all be performed live. They’re not just playing songs off the album though, they’re also performing a number of other songs from throughout their discography.
“Fans trust us because of albums like Catalyst,” guitarist Chad Gilbert said in a statement. “We can make these records and branch out creatively, and they know we’re never going to do something really weird. We are who we are, and I love that we can play whatever and still crush it.”
The “Catalyst 20 Years Later Tour” will kick off in Orlando on the 16th of August and will continue through cities including Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit, Nashville, and Los Angeles. It’s all wrapping up on the 23rd of October in Denver. The stop you’ve all been waiting for is probably the one in Los Angeles though! The band will be joined by special guest Sincere Engineer, a rising force in the alternative space known for songs like “Trust Me,” “Overbite,” and “Shattering.”
