When old school friends get together in a musical group, magic is bound to happen. Formed from two Philadelphia groups, they released their first single, “You’re A Big Girl Now”, as The Stylistics in 1970, reaching the 7th position on the Billboard R&B chart. The Stylistics’ subsequent albums, featuring chart-topping singles such as “Betcha by Golly, Wow”, “I’m Stone In Love With You”, “Break Up To Make Up”, “You Are Everything”, and “Rockin’ Roll Baby”, were highly acclaimed, bringing the group international recognition. The Stylistics had peak successes during the 1970s with three gold-certified albums and five gold singles. Their accolades include inductions into the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame as well as the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
The Stylistics will be supported on tour by the world’s best Elton John tribute act, Eltom John. The talented British singer Tom Cridland’s alter ego will be celebrating Elton John’s legacy with a selection of the musical icon’s best loved hits.
