One of the kings of the early 2000s post-hardcore anthems - Utah-based American rock band The Used is kicking off a new trek packed with their hard-hitting classics in each city this spring. Playing their first three studio records in its entirety - The Used (2002), In Love and Death (2004), and Lies for the Liars (2007), they're spending three nights in each city, playing each album in full. Pick your poison. Diehard fans will have the chance to choose which of these legendary albums they wanna hear from start to finish. Part of their 25 Year Anniversary Tour are special nights in Los Angeles - Day 3 at The Wiltern on Sunday, May 11 where they'll be playing "Lies For The Liars". Post-hardcore American rock band - The Used just announced their 25 Year Anniversary Tour, kicking off this spring. Their new trek will bring their first three albums back to the big stage in its entirety. With tour dates spanning across North America, the U.K., and Australia, they're bringing offerings diehard fans a chance to experience their rockin' hits once more.
"Overwhelmed! These first three records are what put The Used on the map," Bert McCracken said.
Over three nights in each city they'll be stopping by, The Used (2002), In Love and Death (2004), and Lies for the Liars (2007) will be played in full. Night 3 in Los Angeles will see their big hits "Pretty Handsome Awkward" and "The Bird and the Worm" live on stage.
"I can’t wait to experience the joy in playing all three records from front to back. I know it will be an amazing time. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Sending love to you all and I hope to see you there!" McCracken added.
"Lies for the Liars" was released on May 22, 2007, certified gold by the RIAA in 2019. Peaking at #5 on the Billboard 200, it became an instant fan-favorite - being one of the highest billboard charting post-hardcore offerings. As one of the albums that the band says that put them on the map, it truly captured the essence of the 2000s post-hardcore scene.
"The monumental presence of Lies For The Liars can still be remembered today, whether you remember playing a track on Guitar Hero or a memory of them playing awesome tracks off this album at a Taste Of Chaos or Warped Tour, the album contains some of the catchiest music the band has ever produced," Scene Daddy shared in a look back at the iconic record.
